Stockport Magistrates’ Court has granted an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) against 12-year-old boy, after ALMO Stockport Homes applied for a court order after he threw dog faeces at a van and kicked a football at local residents’ properties and cars.

Housing publisher 24Dash.com reports that the boy also climbed on residents’ gates and threw stones at their windows.

The court heard that he had also ridden his bicycle through a public library – and used offensive language when asked to leave. He later threatened to smash the library’s windows when he was refused entry.

The 12-year-old has been named as Justin Carley – under an Asbo, minors can be named in court.

Under the conditions of the Asbo, Carley must not act in a way that is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as himself – or throw any missiles against any person, property or vehicle.

If Carley break the conditions of the Asbo, he could be fined or sent to a young offender institution for up to five years.

The chairman of ALMO Stockport Homes’ board Roger Philips said:

“Stockport Homes and its partners are committed to putting a stop to behaviour that affects the quality of life of residents – and will take any action at its disposal to secure a peaceful environment.”
