Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department at Duncan Lewis. I am based in the Harrow office and work under the direct supervision of Director, Rebecca Thomas.
I work with a team of personal injury and clinical negligence solicitors, trainees and caseworkers, assisting with the day-to-day case progression and client or third-party correspondence on numerous personal injury and clinical negligence claims.
I previously worked in the Family and Childcare department as a Caseworker, in Milton Keynes and in Leicester. I consequently have expertise in several areas of family law including divorce, child arrangement orders and s.8 orders. Furthermore I have extensive experience in assisting vulnerable clients with their legal matters.
I also have extensive experience in undertaking legal administrative duties, namely, from my time working very closely with a barrister from a world renowned set of chambers situated in the heart of London. I also benefited from gaining legal experience from several solicitors’ firms throughout my time at university and subsequently in various areas of law, enabling me to engage work I undertake with a diverse and thoughtful approach.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis I volunteered at Bethnal Green Legal Advice Centre and at 'Release' for four years giving free legal advice to some of London’s most vulnerable clients.
I completed by LPC on a part time basis whilst working as a Caseworker at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I graduated university with a first class honours law degree. I have a passion for advocacy, evidenced by my entrance in and victory of the Lady Oliver Mooting Competition in my second year at University - an advocacy competition consisting of students from the university at all stages of their legal studies.
In 2018 I was named Duncan Lewis' Caseworker of the Year (outside London).
