Adeeba Naseem
Joint Director of Family & Child Care, Shepherds Bush
Adeeba joined us a few weeks ago as a Solicitor with Child Care Panel status from A & N Care Solicitors in Sheffield, where she was the founding Partner. Adeeba qualified 7 years ago and has gained a specialism in representing parents and local authorities in care proceedings. She has been given the task of heading the Family and Child Care team in Shepherds Bush. She will work closely with the Management Board to manage the entire Family and Child care team in the Shepherds Bush office and will assist in developing our offices in Southall and Uxbridge..
Emine Mehmet
Joint Director of Family & Child Care, EC2
Emine joined us a Child Care Panel Member/Solicitor in January 2012 from Pollecoff Solicitors where she was a salaried partner for some time. Emine qualified as a solicitor in October 2003 and went on to become a Law Society Child Care Panel Member. Emine specialises in Public and Private Child Care work and will be looking to grow the Child Care department in EC2 office.
Kirsten Marenah
Joint Director of Immigration, Shepherds Bush
Kirsten qualified as a solicitor in 2004 having completed her Bar Vocational Course in 1997. In 2005, she qualified as a Level 2, Immigration Solicitor and Supervisor and went on to complete her MPhil in Law in 2009. She has spent most of her career at Howe & Co Solicitors along with a short stint at Sheikh & Co Solicitors.
In 2011, Kirsten was short listed to become an Immigration Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal. She has dealt with work at the appeal level, including applications for Statutory Review, as well as Judicial Review and appeals to the Court of Appeal.
She has also been involved in Country Guidance cases at the Tribunal and in leading Court of Appeal Cases.
Martina Flanagan
Joint Director of Immigration, Shepherds Bush
Martina was admitted as a solicitor in September 2001 and has over fourteen years legal experience in Asylum, Immigration and Nationality casework. She was accredited to Level 2 in 2004 and spent most of her career at the Immigration Advisory Service. She provided in-house training at the Camden Law Centre and on behalf of ILPA. She was also responsible for providing induction training at the IAS on LSC funding rules.
Neelam Bangar
Joint Director of Immigration, Harrow
Neelam has been appointed as a Joint Director of Immigration. From September 2003 - 2008, Neelam was a supervising Assistant Solicitor specialist in Immigration and Asylum Law at Community Law Clinic, Solicitors. She joined DL in October 2008 as joint Head of Department (Minors team). Neelam specialises in dealing with minors seeking asylum along with Judicial Review work. She is accredited to level 2 of the Law Society Accreditation scheme. She has also been appointed by the Legal Services Commission as an active Peer Reviewer since October 2008 in which she reviews files of external Immigration providers on behalf of the LSC.
