Public law solicitor Maria Petrova-Collins has been acknowledged by Forbes Bulgaria in the social entrepreneurship category, for her hard work on behalf of the most marginalised people in society.
Forbes has recognised her great work, listing her in its 30 Under 30 feature in which it celebrates some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry figures.
Each year the global media company selects 600 of the brightest stars - 30 people under 30 years old from across 20 industries - to sing the praises of their work on its various media platforms.
Forbes notes Maria’s fantastic work on behalf of asylum seekers, victims of trafficking, exploitation and domestic violence.
It also lists her specialisms, which include challenging policies triggering a high percentage of cases involving human rights breaches.
Maria said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be recognised by such a prestigious magazine as Forbes. I believe everyone should have a right to access to justice and this honour will only inspire me to work even harder for the vulnerable and disenfranchised.”
Maria has brought numerous successful legal challenges where the government has been held accountable for failing to deal with clients' cases fairly.
Her work has also recognised by media platforms such as CNN, the Guardian, Independent, and London Economic.
