If the council has rejected your homeless application, you have several options to consider:
1. Request a Review: You can ask your council to review their decision to reject your homeless application. This is the first step to take if you disagree with their decision. You must usually make this request within 21 days of receiving the decision.
2. Provide Additional Evidence: During the review process, you can submit additional evidence or information to support your case. This could include medical reports, documentation related to domestic violence, or any other relevant information that may affect your eligibility.
3. Legal Advice: Consult our Housing specialist solicitors who can provide legal guidance and assist you in the review process. They may also help you prepare a strong case to present to the council.
It is important that you seek legal advice immediately as there are a number of deadlines that you need to meet in a homelessness challenge.
