Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Public Law Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I am also a Level 2 Senior Caseworker and Supervisor under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.
I joined the firm in February 2009 as a Paralegal within the Immigration department and qualified as a solicitor in July 2012. I worked as a consultant solicitor with the firm from January 2014 to August 2018 before joining the Luton office as a supervising solicitor within the Public Law and Immigration department.
I have over 11 years’ experience in immigration, asylum and nationality law and am extremely passionate about representing individuals at all stages of their cases. This can range from initial applications, appeals to challenges by way of judicial review.
I have extensive experience in representing both legal aid and private clients. I have a particular interest in assisting individuals who are detained and securing their release from detention and/or prison where they are being held under immigration law. I am also extremely passionate about assisting vulnerable people particularly those with mental health problems, victims of torture and trafficking.
I am client focused and have exceptional skill in strategising and preparing cases. I work closely with organisations such as the Helen Bamber Foundation and other experts (country and medical) to obtain the best outcome for my clients.
