I am a Consultant Solicitor based in Bristol and I have been a prison law solicitor since 2007. I am a practising solicitor and qualified barrister, as well as an active member of the Association of Prison Lawyers.
I represent inmates around the South West, Wales, the Midlands and London. The prisons I cover in England include Bristol, Ashfield, Eastwood Park, Leyhill, Erlestoke, Guys Marsh, Channings Wood, Dartmoor and Portland. I cover the Mount and Bullingdon among others, and regularly travel to prisons in London for oral hearings.
I also cover prisons in Wales including Cardiff, Swansea, Parc and Usk (both closed and open).
I specialise in independent adjudications, parole board oral hearings and recalls. I often represent life sentence inmates at parole board oral hearings where they are seeking release or transfer to open conditions, and legal aid is available for both.
I am a graduate of the London School of Economics and before qualifying as a solicitor I worked as a journalist for a variety of national newspapers including the Independent, Independent on Sunday, The Guardian and The Mail on Sunday.
After over 10 years' hard work I have achieved an excellent reputation in prisons around the country. I am approachable, calm and highly experienced, and I will fight your corner.
