I am a Consultant Solicitor in the Childcare Department at Duncan Lewis.
I specialise in all aspects of Children Law and act for both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded clients. I mainly act in Children Public Law care cases and I undertake advocacy in courts at all levels of proceedings. I have experience in deprivation of liberty cases involving children in the care system. I also represent clients in adoption cases. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 1994, I have practised at a number of reputable firms where I have consistently specialised in child care law.
I have advised at community law centres and taken part in domestic violence projects and victim support groups, as well as been involved in the management of a youth counselling committee. I take a particular interest in home education cases and I am on the committee of a local home education group.
I am a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and specialist knowledge, as defined by the Law Society in all areas of children law and the representation of children and parents.
