We are thrilled to announce that Duncan Lewis public law director Ahmed Aydeed has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at ECPAT UK (Every Child Protected Against Trafficking). This new position reflects Ahmed's unwavering commitment to advancing the rights of vulnerable children and combatting human trafficking.
Ahmed's extensive experience in public law, human rights, and his dedication to assisting NGOs and individuals in complex legal challenges align with ECPAT UK's mission to protect children from trafficking and transnational exploitation. He consistently demonstrates his dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those most in need, especially unaccompanied minors, child survivors of trafficking, and children in care.
His contributions to high-impact cases presented in the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and the European Court of Human Rights, highlight his proficiency in navigating complex legal landscapes. Ahmed’s commitment to this cause is further evidenced by his recognition as a finalist for the ECPAT UK Children's Champion award in 2019, and subsequently being awarded the Marsh Award for Outstanding Contribution to the fight against modern slavery at the 2019 Anti-Slavery Day Awards.
