Crystal Palace football player airlifted to hospital after being trapped in a car crash (14 September 2016)

Pape Souare, a Premier League Crystal Palace football player, was airlifted to hospital last night after being trapped in the wreckage of a horrific motorway crash near Heathrow. As reported by London Fire Brigade, crews used specialist cutting equipment to free the trapped man and he was carried by the London’s Air Ambulance to the Royal London Hospital’s major trauma unit in Whitechapel with injuries to his jaw and thigh. However, his condition was said not to be life-threatening.
