Duncan Lewis, Main Solicitors, The Lex 100 survey results are in: Duncan Lewis successful in client contact category for the third year in a row

We are very pleased to announce that the Lex 100 have released their annual survey results and Duncan Lewis has once again secured a win for client contact.

The Lex 100 annual trainee survey is a comprehensive assessment of training at premier law firms. This year they surveyed over 2,500 trainees at firms across the UK. Trainees are asked to rate their firms in a number of different categories including work/life balance and training contracts amongst others. Trainees from Duncan Lewis took part in the survey this year and once again, the firm has been ranked as the winning firm for client contact.

We are delighted to find that our trainees have consistently voted the firm so highly for our client contact, as this marks our third consecutive win. Winning in this category is reflective of Duncan Lewis’s mission of giving people a voice and treating clients with real commitment, open and honest communication, confidentiality and courtesy.

As a firm, specialising in a range of practice areas with over 14 key offices in England and Wales, we are able to register 100 training contracts with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority contracts at any given time, with a retention rate of 75%.

Our recruitment policy prides itself on its commitment to equal opportunities and being dedicated to hiring the most talented employees. At Duncan Lewis we celebrate this diversity and are committed to employing a workforce that can best serve and represent the community. Further, as a signatory of the Law Society’s Diversion and Inclusion Charter, we are pleased to note that 72% of lawyers and 70% of the entire workforce at Duncan Lewis is female. Over half of the firm’s personnel are aged under 35 years, with 12% over the age of 44 years. More than half of Duncan Lewis’s staff is of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic origin (BAME).

We would like to thank every trainee who took time out to participate in the survey. It is an extremely valuable tool for trainees who are looking to seek out a firm that is the right fit for them, but it also provides us with effective feedback so that we can continuously seek to refine and improve the service we provide.

Amongst other survey categories, we also ranked highly for work satisfaction, the quality of work we deliver and the approachability of our workforce. It is essential for us at Duncan Lewis to ensure that we give trainees the chance to excel in their chosen area of law, as well as to encourage all staff to learn from across our various practice areas. We look forward to offering and providing many more quality training contracts and maintaining our consistent high client contact ranking.
