Recognised as a “committed and dynamic practice” with “unparalleled dedication and determination”, we are very proud to announce that the 2023 edition of Chambers and Partners has seen Duncan Lewis retain its status as a Top Ranked firm, and viewed as one of the best in its field across 6 key practice areas across all of our offices nationwide, and 13 of our lawyers have been ranked for their specialism in their respective practice areas We are delighted to have retained our Top Ranked status for the excellent work carried out by our Band 1 Crime team across all of our London-based offices. Our Family and Child Care teams based in the Midlands and London have also been recognised as one of the best in the field. In addition, we are equally proud that across all of our offices nationwide, Duncan Lewis has received rankings for our Immigration, Human Rights, Asylum and Deportation services as well as for our Housing teams. For the first time, we are thrilled to have been ranked for our Civil Liberties and Human Rights offering UK-wide. Overall, 13 of our solicitors have been ranked for their standout contribution to their respective practice areas. This is an improvement upon last year's results with the “brilliant” Olamide Olayemi, the “superb judgement” of Sheroy Zaq, the “very capable” Ravi Mahey, and the “utterly fearless” James Packer each receiving new rankings. Toufique Hossain (7 years ranked and also ranked in Public Law) and Stefan Vnuk have retained their top-band recognition for their Immigration and Human rights work UK-wide – both recognised as leaders in their field. Lewis Kett and Sheroy Zaq have been named as Associate to Watch for their Immigration and Public Law work respectively. Directors (Immigration UK-wide) Ahmed Aydeed, and Tamana Aziz (Business Immigration UK-wide) retain their rankings. Ahmed continues to be recognised as one of the most well-regarded lawyers in the area of trafficking law. Vinita Templeton, described as an “incredibly diligent thorough and meticulous lawyer”, remains ranked for her Public Law work undertaken at our Swansea office. Housing Directors Manjinder Kaur Atwaland Dianne Cowie are ranked for their Social Housing services, and are praised for their “passionate representation of clients”. Childcare Director Emine Mehmet, who is a “robust practitioner and fights for the best interests of children” has retained status as an Up and Coming lawyer for her Public Law Children services.
