By Ofonimeh Umoh (Immigration Director) I was able to finally hand over the cheque of £1267 to the Helen Bamber Foundation – Duncan Lewis Charity donation. I also had the good fortune of meeting with Helen Bamber OBE herself aged 85 and had an especially lovely chat about her work, part of her career, the future with reference to the potential training that will prove very useful for the firm at large and the work we conduct. She was deeply touched by the gesture and particularly the generosity of the firm as I do not think they were expecting that much from us from a financial standpoint. She deliberately repeated that it was such an honour for her charity to have been selected as the charity of the month and sent her thanks and best wishes to the firm. She also suggested that we are the first firm that have made such a gesture. I felt very proud and honored that the firm would be part of something yet small but very powerful. I personally would like to add my thanks to Duncan Lewis for nominating Helen Bamber not least for the work they do but the fact that they were very deserving and gracious about the gesture from the firm.
