Duncan Lewis Solicitors is pleased to announce the joining of Jana Derska to the firm’s nationally recognised Child Care Department.

A solicitor qualified via the SQE route, Jana has prior experience in private and international children law matters, including child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, and child abduction.

Jana is also a qualified (non-practising) Notary Public and Scrivener Notary and fluent in Polish, Bulgarian, French, Spanish, and English, with a legal career rooted in multilingual and multi-jurisdictional work. Her understanding of foreign legal systems makes her a valuable asset to Duncan Lewis's growing international family law offering.

Jana holds an LLB in Law with French from the University of Sheffield, has studied law in Bordeaux, and achieved distinction in the Notarial Practice Course at UCL. She is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Scriveners and a member of Young Resolution (YRes).

She will be based in London and working across the department’s full spectrum of child care law services, with a focus on cross-border disputes and international child arrangements.
