We are thrilled to announce that we have won the award for Outstanding Firm for Diversity and Inclusion at the 2021 Chambers Europe Awards.
Chambers Europe Awards recognise a law firm’s pre-eminence in key jurisdictions in the region. They also reflect achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service. They honour the work of national and international law firms across the region based on the research for the upcoming edition of Chambers Europe.
We have long been committed to diversity and inclusion and our latest diversity report shows that of those that responded, 70% of our workforce is female, 65% are under the age of 35, with 60% being BAME. In addition, 61% of those in higher positions – including managerial and director level – are from ethnic minorities, and 52% female.
With 70% of our workforce female and 60% coming from an ethnic minority background, such figures show that our commitment to diversity and inclusion has created a working environment that does not discriminate and offers opportunities to all.

In December 2020, we were named best firm for diversity & gender in The Lawyer UK Top 200 which ranks the best 200 law firms based on financials, diversity and other benchmarks.
In the 2021 edition of Chambers and Partners, two of our legal practices were ranked with our crime department being included as a top-tier, Band 1 practice in the Watford, Uxbridge and surrounds area, and our UK-wide Immigration: Human Rights, Asylum and Deportation practice increasing its ranking from Band 3 to Band 2.
Additionally, eight individuals were also included in the 2021 edition, including public law director Toufique Hossain who retained his ranking in the UK-wide Administrative & Public Law: Traditional Claimant category and increased his ranking in Immigration: Human Rights, Asylum and Deportation London.
Public law solicitor Stefan Vnuk is ranked Band 1 in Immigration: Human Rights, Asylum and Deportation London, and director Ahmed Aydeed is included as an Up and Coming individual in Immigration: Human Rights, Asylum and Deportation, UK-wide, along with solicitor Lewis Kett who has been included in the Associates to Watch category. Business and private immigration director Tamana Aziz is newly ranked in the UK-wide Immigration.
Criminal defence lawyer Rubin Italia retained his ranking in Crime London and housing director Dianne Cowie remains a ranked lawyer for her work in the UK-wide Social Housing: Tenants category.
Family and childcare director Emine Mehmet has also been ranked an Up and Coming individual in her category: Children: Public Law Matters in London.
