Duncan Lewis is very pleased to announce that solicitor Stefan Vnuk has joined its Public Law department. Stefan has joined Duncan Lewis from Lupins Solicitors, where he was Head of Department, and brings with him over 20 years’ worth of legal experience.
Acting in all areas of immigration, asylum and human rights law, Stefan has significant experience handling complex cases in the higher courts, including the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
Stefan began his legal career in Australia where he was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia, he later completed his Qualified Lawyers' Transfer Test and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1996.
Stefan is ranked in the legal directory Chambers and Partners and is described as “…a seasoned practitioner who has a broad human rights and asylum-focused immigration practice.” The Legal 500 also recognises the quality of his immigration work, highlighting that “[he] will not rest until he has exhausted every possible option available”.
Stefan has a wealth of experience and knowledge and has held significant positions at leading law firms. Most recently, Stefan worked for Lupins solicitors where he was head of the public law department. He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and is an Advanced Caseworker (Level 3) under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, one of only a small number of immigration practitioners throughout England and Wales to hold this quality mark.
Stefan joins the Public Law team at Harrow, led by Director Toufique Hossain who is;

The Public Law team is well established and known by the Legal Aid Agency, the Courts, and the Treasury Solicitor. Duncan Lewis have experience in all aspects of judicial review claimant work, including obtaining emergency orders and other interim relief to prevent breaches of human rights, following up judicial reviews with actions for damages in both the County and High Court and successfully pursuing judicial review matters to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Duncan Lewis carry out both publicly and privately funded work.
