
Duncan Lewis Solicitors are pleased to announce the recent appointment of new Housing Director, Lorick Winarskie at the firm’s Birmingham office where he will oversee and spearhead our specialist housing department alongside consultant solicitors Christina-McCormack and Meera Betab, and solicitor Rupinder Jagdev. With 30 years’ worth of experience in housing law, Lorick brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Lorick qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has extensive knowledge in a wide range of housing law matters, including; homelessness appeals; defending possession proceedings; anti-social behaviour injunctions and judicial reviews. He represents clients, many of which are extremely vulnerable individuals, on both a private fee basis and on a publicly funded (legal aid) basis. He represents his clients at all levels, including at the Supreme Court where he has considerable experience. Lorick previously worked for Duncan Lewis as a consultant at the Birmingham office, prior to this he was a partner at Tyndallwoods Solicitors where he co-convened their housing team. The department assists clients throughout England and Wales in all matters or issues involving local housing authorities, housing applications, tenants, landlords, ownership and repairs.
