Duncan Lewis Solicitors’ 2023 Equality and Diversity survey continues to show the ongoing high level of diversity and inclusion across the company nationwide, with 72% of its workforce identifying as female and 55% Asian and from minority ethnic groups.
Further to its recent Diversity Award win at the Modern Claim Awards 2023, Duncan Lewis’ Equality and Diversity survey, administered internally in accordance with its regulatory obligations, continues to evidence its equality of opportunity; of the 62 directors that lead the company’s respective legal teams, 71% are female (62% in 2021) and 67% are from an ethnic minority background.
In relation to the company’s solicitors, of which 42% are minority ethnic, the report evidences an equal balance of lawyers throughout the company across all age ranges; 42% of the company’s solicitors are aged 25-34 years and 33% are aged 34-44 years. Of the company’s current trainee solicitors and caseworkers, 52% are from ethnic minorities, with 59% aged between 25-34 years, while 59% of our support staff are from minority ethnic groups.
The company’s dedication extends to equal opportunities and it continues to be committed to recruiting and retaining the most talented employees regardless of their religious belief, age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, marital status or social background - 51% of its participating workforce came from a UK state-school non-selective education.
