We delighted to say that Duncan Lewis has been shortlisted for the Diversity Award at the Modern Claims Awards 2023.

In shortlisting the company, judges acknowledged that diversity and inclusion is embedded at the heart of the company, and is one of the reasons why the business has been so successful, demonstrating consistent growth, attracting the best talent, while delivering on its commitment to giving people a voice.

Also, that Duncan Lewis remains committed to providing equal opportunities regardless of an individual’s background or protected characteristics and that we embrace the diversity of our staff, striving to ensure that our personnel reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

The diversity of our talent remains second to none: 70% of our workforce is female, 50% are Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, 62% are under age of 35 years, and 23% are over 40. Moreover, unlike most of the legal industry, the vast majority of our senior leaders of are women; 65% of our directors are female and 45% are Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic. However, the company has consistently striven to develop its policies wherever possible.

Judges accepted our submission that the success of our law firm is in a large part due to this global commitment to diversity and inclusion. A commitment which is at the core of the business, extending right across the workforce, out to its clients and beyond, to ensure that people of all backgrounds get equal access to legal services.

The Modern Claims Awards 2023 ceremony takes place on Thursday, April 27, at The Rum Warehouse in Liverpool.
