Duncan Lewis’ Ivan Dimitrov Presented with Recognition 100 Award for Voluntary Service (24 October 2025)

Duncan Lewis delighted to share that Ivan Dimitrov has been presented with the Recognition 100 award by the Mayor of Greenwich, after completing over 100 hours of voluntary service at the East Greenwich Legal Advice Centre.

Ivan, a chartered legal executive in the family team, was nominated for the award by the centre, which praised his dedication and the valuable contribution he has made in supporting the local community through his volunteering. The Recognition 100 scheme celebrates individuals who have given exceptional time and commitment to helping others across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

About the Centre:

The East Greenwich Legal Advice Centre plays a vital role in the community by helping local residents access free legal advice and support, particularly those facing financial or social hardship. In addition to offering guidance, the centre connects people with volunteering opportunities through both online and face-to-face services—helping individuals gain experience, develop skills, and build confidence.

The centre also supports not-for-profit organisations by promoting volunteering roles, providing training and advice on recruitment and volunteer management, and sharing best practice.

About Ivan Dimitrov

Ivan Dimitrov is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Family and Childcare Department at Duncan Lewis, where he has worked since 2012. He has extensive experience in public and private children law matters, including care proceedings, special guardianship, and adoption cases, as well as international family law under the Hague Convention.

Known for his compassionate approach, Ivan supports vulnerable clients facing issues such as substance misuse, psychological difficulties, and domestic abuse. He is an active member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, provides advice through the Civil Legal Advice Scheme, and is fluent in Bulgarian.
