We are delighted to announce that family law specialist Julie McNarmara has been promoted to Director of Family and Child Care after 6 years of outstanding service at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. She continues to be based at the company’s Birmingham office, ranked and recommended by the Legal 500 UK for its ‘hugely capable’ and ‘extremely knowledgeable’ family team.

Julie joined Duncan Lewis in December 2017 as a solicitor in the Family department, where she has attended to clients throughout the West Midlands from the firms’ Birmingham and Wolverhampton offices. Her work incorporates matrimonial disputes surrounding divorce and financial matters including complex high net worth cases. Julie’s expertise also covers private children matters and domestic abuse.

During her time at Duncan Lewis, Julie has developed a wealth of experience and expertise in family law and holds specialist accreditations in International Child Abduction and Domestic Abuse. Throughout her career, Julie has demonstrated a deep commitment to assisting vulnerable clients from all backgrounds and those facing extremely challenging times. As a fully trained mediator and member of Resolution, Julie is dedicated to resolving disputes between families and partners on a more amicable basis. She has a brilliant track record of assisting clients via Alternative Dispute Resolution as a means of communication between separating families. Julie is also a member of Resolution, a Family Law Association for solicitors dedicated to resolving family matters fairly and amicably.

Julie is a Recommended Lawyer for Family Law across the West Midlands in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500. She is described by clients and counsel as "extremely knowledgeable" and "goes the extra mile” in all of her work.
