We are delighted to announce that Harsha Kansagra has recently been appointed as our new HR Manager.
Harsha, fully CIPD qualified and a current member of the CIPD (Charted Institute of Personnel and Development) has more than 16 years’ experience in HR across a wide range of industries (including logistics, education, pharmaceutical, food, and manufacturing), 8 of which she has spent with the firm.
Based in the company’s City head office in Fenchurch Street, Harsha’s recent appointment sees her head a dynamic HR team that is currently supporting the company’s 500 personnel across 12 keys offices across England and Wales through the full spectrum of recruitment, on-boarding, continuous learning and development support and the facilitation of the company’s pastoral, flexible-working, equality and diversity and well-being needs.
She said: “I’m thrilled to step into my new role. I’ve enjoyed my time with Duncan Lewis so far as the company has provided me with so many opportunities. I’m grateful to be able to work with so many talented people and look forward to this new phase of my career with genuine excitement.”
Harsha first joined Duncan Lewis in September 2012 as a HR Officer, before being promoted to Senior HR Officer in 2014. Although she left briefly to spread her wings in 2016 for a stint at an investment management company, Harsha returned to Duncan Lewis in 2018 to take up an exclusive HR systems role, which saw her lead the innovation and streamlining of bespoke internal HR procedures in readiness for the company’s paperless environment, which was successfully introduced in early 2019.
Duncan Lewis, accredited at Investors in People Gold Standard, has an established reputation in respect of enabling staff progression, with a significant number of internal promotions across the year, including 10 to Director (Partner-level) this year alone. Of Duncan Lewis’ 57 Directors, 65% are female, 45% are Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority and 56% were internal promotions. As well as being highly placed in The Lawyer’s 2020 top 200 law firms edition, The Lawyer also recently ranked Duncan Lewis as the best firm for diversity & gender, topping the table for most female lawyers at a law firm of those firms listed.
