Mental Health Solicitors

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is inviting anyone in the borough who has a mental health condition to take part in its programme of workshops and activities for people with mental health issues, as part of a national research project.

The council is one of 60 local authorities to launch a Community Learning Mental Health pilot, as part of a national research project which focuses on the positive link between mental health issues and adult community learning.

The council is hosting a range of workshops, including cooking, art, pottery, yoga, mindfulness, photography and summer planting.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health, Councillor Jim Beall, said:

“There are some excellent services available within our borough to support people with mental health issues – and we are really pleased to pilot these workshops as part of that offer.

“The Community Learning Mental Health workshops are a great way for people to engage in something enjoyable, while helping them to learn new skills.

“They also a offer a warm and welcoming opportunity for people to socialise and help improve their emotional health.”
