Duncan Lewis Solicitors is proud to announce its involvement in King’s College London’s (KCL) Legal Clinic. The firm will be offering regular free immigration and asylum advice at the KCL, which is located on the Strand, offering assistance and support to law students at KCL in advising clients in need of specialist immigration advice.
Funding restrictions being implemented across the legal profession over recent years, have left many vulnerable people without access to legal advice and representation which has encouraged KCL to introduce this clinic to members of the public. The clinic also focuses on providing Law students with the opportunity to learn more about the legal profession in practice during their degree.
Duncan Lewis Solicitors are delighted to be part of this exciting new chapter for KCL’s Dickson Poon School of Law. As a firm that prides itself on its aim to “give people a voice”, Duncan Lewis is excited to be part of this new legal clinic, which will help bring crucial legal services to some of London’s most vulnerable people. In addition, Duncan Lewis as a firm is enthusiastic about the development of aspiring lawyers who are the future of the profession.
Business Immigration Director Vicash Ramkissoon had this to say about the firm’s involvement:
“As a firm with a commitment to the training of a new generation of lawyers we are particularly proud to collaborate with a prestigious institution such as Kings College and very much look forward to supporting/mentoring their students at the clinic.”
