Hartlepool Council has launched a brand new letting agency to increase the availability of quality homes in the town’s private rented sector.
The council says that the Quality Homes Letting Agency offers landlords a straightforward way to let and manage their property – and also increases the options available to people looking to rent in the private sector in Hartlepool.
The Quality Homes Letting Agency offers a fully managed lettings service on a no let, no fee basis, so that the service does not cost landlords any money until their property is tenanted.
Other benefits of the council letting scheme include tenant selection and referencing, collection of rent and regular property inspections.
The council will also arrange repairs and maintenance – and will provide a
24/7 emergency hotline for tenants.
Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Regeneration Services Committee, Councillor Kevin Cranney, said:
“The Quality Homes Letting Agency offers people looking to rent a home a wide range of warm, safe and secure properties at a competitive and affordable price – and there are no administration fees for tenants.
“It also focuses on providing professional property letting and management services to landlords.
“The 24/7 emergency hotline for any unexpected emergencies that may occur outside of office hours also provides peace of mind to tenants and landlords alike.”
Megan Popplewell – who rents a home through the Quality Homes Letting Agency – said:
“I’ve been very impressed by the service and the staff are very professional and approachable.
“I know I can always call on them for support, advice or assistance – and they have made it very easy for us to settle in our new home.”
