Duncan Lewis Solicitors are pleased to announce the recent internal appointments of Manjinder Kaur Atwal as Director of Housing and Sheena Donlon as Director of Family & Childcare.

Manjinder Kaur Atwal

Housing law specialist, Manjinder Kaur Atwal, has been appointed to the role of Director of Housing and will oversee the company’s Housing law practice from its offices in Harrow-on-the-Hill, Luton and Shepherd’s Bush. Manjinder has a successful practice in a wide variety of housing matters including possession matters, disrepair, injunctions, nuisance cases, unlawful evictions, homelessness and judicial review. She undertakes her own advocacy on behalf of clients at Court and Tribunals.

In 2012, Manjinder became an ADR Group Accredited Mediator, following her successful undertaking of a Civil and Commercial Mediation Course with ADR Group.

The department assists clients throughout England & Wales in any matter or issues arising with local housing authorities, housing applications, tenants, landlords, ownership and repairs. Sheena Donlon

Solicitor, Sheena Donlon has been appointed to the role of Director of Family & Childcare and jointly leads the company’s Family & Childcare office in Barnet with Director, Kirsty Richards. Sheena specialises in representing parents, family members and children in public law proceedings concerning matters such as Emergency protection Orders, Care Orders, Supervision Orders and Secure Accommodation Orders. Sheena also represents clients in private law matters such as Child Arrangements, Special Guardianship Arrangements and Parental Responsibility Applications. She has considerable experience in advocacy at the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court.
In 2014, Sheena was appointed to the law Society’s Children Panel, allowing her to represent children in highly complex matters involving Local Authority Care and Supervision Proceedings. She is also committed to Pro Bono work and provides a legal surgery to victims of domestic violence and those in need of advice on obtaining Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.
