We are pleased to announce that family and child care solicitor Hanife Djemal has returned to Duncan Lewis after initially leaving the firm in March 2020.
Hanife originally joined the firm in 2007 and was based in our Dalston and Islington branches where she supervised a large team of trainees and caseworkers. Her expertise spans the spectrum of family and children law cases and she has extensive experience in acting in both privately funded matters and legal aid cases. Notable areas of expertise include representing parents and children through their guardians in complex care and adoption proceedings, as well as private children act matters, divorce, financial matters and cases involving injunctions.
As a longstanding member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, Hanife is a recognised expert in her field and has demonstrated a high-standard of specialist knowledge and proficiency in all areas of children law and the representation of children.
Hanife remains as committed to working with vulnerable women as ever. She assists individuals through the Hestia Women’s Refuge and attends pro bono surgeries to advise women on various legal issues.
After spending time away from the firm it is a delight to be able to welcome such a valued member of the Duncan Lewis team back to our Dalston office where she will work closely with Director, Emine Mehmet. Hanife’s experience as a supervisor will serve as a great inspiration to our current trainees and caseworkers.
Upon her return Hanife notes how pleased she is to be returning to Duncan Lewis Solicitors.
“It’s so good to be back at DL amongst friends and work colleagues!” she says.
We are delighted to welcome Hanife back to Duncan Lewis.
