We are thrilled to announce that Duncan Lewis Solicitors won two prestigious accolades at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2025.
Our Public Law team received the Case of the Year Award for their outstanding work on the landmark case of AAA & Ors and HTN. This pivotal case successfully challenged the UK Home Secretary's controversial policy of relocating asylum seekers to Rwanda. The team's dedication led to a Supreme Court ruling, deeming Rwanda unsafe for asylum seekers and declaring the policy unlawful.
This decision not only halted the policy but also reinforced the UK's commitment to upholding international human rights standards.
Duncan Lewis was jointly recognised for the award along with 11KBW, Blackstone Chambers and Matrix Chambers.
In addition to this remarkable achievement, our firm was honoured with the Pro Bono Award, recognising our unwavering commitment to providing free legal support to those in need. Initiatives such as the Family Law Advice for the Neurodivergent Community (FLANC) and our partnerships with organisations such as the University of East London, Cancer Research UK and Will Aid highlight the breadth of our pro bono efforts.
