I am a Solicitor and Supervisor in the Family and Childcare Department at Duncan Lewis, having joined in 2007. I am based at the company’s Dalston office and I support a large department supervising trainees and caseworkers.
I specialise in a broad spectrum of family and children law cases and act in both privately funded and publicly funded (legal aid) cases. I represent both parents/family members and children's guardians in care proceedings and adoption proceedings. Further, I represent parents within private children act proceedings, parties within divorce and financial proceedings and parties within injunction proceedings.
I have been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2003. Holding this accreditation means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and specialist knowledge, as defined by the Law Society in all areas of children law and the representation of children. I have extensive experience assisting clients that are eligible for legal aid.
In addition to my work at Duncan Lewis, I have also been closely involved in working with vulnerable women through Hestia Women’s Refuge and other domestic violence organisations. I attend pro bono legal surgeries to advise women on a number of legal issues. I am also involved in a pro bono legal surgery for the Turkish Cypriot Women’s Project.
