The Family Law Awards were launched by Jordan Publishing to recognise the vital work of family lawyers, and mark their successes and outstanding achievements.

Ravi is recognised as a leading lawyer in her field, having specialised in children law for 16 years. She leads a recognised team of Law Society Children Panel lawyers, whilst also running mentoring and training workshops for junior members of her team. Ravi specialises in all areas of children law, in particular public law cases where she acts for children, through their guardians, in addition to representing parents in adoption and child abduction matters. More recently she has acquired a specialism in acting for the victims of forced marriages, abandoned spouses, honour based violence and female genital mutilation (FGM), acting in a leading FGM case. Ravi was also instructed by a diplomat to represent her in public law proceedings, which is now a leading authority in respect of public law orders being made for nationals with diplomatic status.
