Profile / Experience
I am a Housing Solicitor at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I joined the firm as an intern in July 2014 and worked closely with Head of Islamic Department, Aina Khan dealing with Islamic Marriages and Divorce, Finances, Islamic Mehr Claims and Children matters.
Whilst at Duncan Lewis, I took part in volunteering at the Pro Bono Clinic and projects such as Register Our Marriage 'ROM' campaign and Macmillan Cancer Charity events. I continue to volunteer at the Pro Bono Clinic at Duncan Lewis and also take part in the County Court Duty Solicitor Scheme.
Since April 2016, I have been dealing with housing matters including Homelessness, Disrepair, Section 202 Reviews, Section 204 Appeals, Eviction/Unlawful Eviction and Possession Proceedings.
I was offered a solicitor Training Contract in the Housing department in March 2017 and gained experience with Neighbour Disputes and Litigation cases dealing with harassment, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. I often attend court as a Housing Duty Solicitor and have quality experience at court with barristers at Trials and Hearings.
I am fluent in the Turkish language.
