I am a Housing Solicitor and Supervisor at Duncan Lewis' City of London office. I joined the firm as an intern in July 2014 and gained experience within family matters such as Islamic Marriages and Divorces, Finances, Islamic Mehr Claims and Children matters.
Whilst at Duncan Lewis, I have taken part in volunteering at the Pro Bono Clinic and projects including Register Our Marriage 'ROM' campaign and Macmillan Cancer support events.
Since April 2016, I have been handling housing matters including Homelessness, Disrepair, Statutory Reviews and Appeals, Eviction/Unlawful Eviction and Possession Proceedings.
I was offered a solicitor Training Contract in the Housing Department in March 2017 and gained quality experience in Neighbour Disputes and Litigation cases. I attend court as a Housing Duty Solicitor at Central London and Barnet County Court where I handle possession/eviction and mortgage/debt matters. I have strong experience in advocacy and representing clients at court.
I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2019 and was offered a Supervisor role in April 2021. Since, I have been supervising my own team of housing caseworkers.
I take the role of advising clients on Housing matters at Citizens Advice Bureau at Epping Forest District. I am also proud to be part of the Duncan Lewis Charity Committee.
