I am a Director in the Immigration department. I supervise a team of solicitors and caseworkers. I specialise in asylum, human rights and public law work, representing victims of torture, human trafficking and gender-based persecution as well as those excluded from the protection of the Refugee Convention.

I have wide experience of litigation in the Administrative Court and Court of Appeal as well as in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. I am an effective advocate. I am committed to access to justice for the most vulnerable in society and regularly represent detainees in their judicial review challenges against immigration detention, removal to their countries of origin or removal to other EU countries under the Dublin Regulation. I have established a reputation for obtaining international protection in the UK for adults and children trafficked for domestic servitude, sexual and labour exploitation and I was a founder member of ATLeP (Anti-Trafficking Legal Project) an information network of lawyers and specialist practitioners assisting victims of trafficking.

I am accredited as a Supervisor and an Advanced Level Immigration Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which means that I have shown that I have specialist knowledge and experience in the area of immigration law and can advise and assist publicly funded clients under the company's legal aid contract.

I am a Recommended Individual in the 2019 edition of The Legal 500 for my work in Administrative & Public Law, London; Civil Liberties & Human Rights, London, and Human resources: Immigration, South-east.
