William Davis

I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Family Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors.

I have had a passion for Family Law since studying the module back in university and enjoy immersing myself within this field on a day to day basis.

My role primarily involves assisting in the progression of cases in all areas of family law, both public and privately funded. I have experience in advocacy and regularly represent clients at court in a broad range of matters.

Cases I am currently dealing with predominantly involve Domestic Abuse and Children Matters both privately, involving family disputes and publicly, involving Local Authorities.

• London Borough of Hackney v P and Others EWCA Civ 1213 [2023] - The principal issue raised is the date by reference to which the court determines whether it has jurisdiction based on a child’s habitual residence, pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of the 1996 Hague Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children (“the 1996 Convention”).
