Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor and Supervisor in the Public Law and Immigration at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I am based in Sheffield and work remotely for director Toufique Hossain's team in Harrow.
I have a number of years experience working across an extensive range of asylum and immigration cases. I have a passion for challenging immigration detention, whether through the First-tier Tribunal, the higher courts or through campaigning. I am also interested in access to justice issues, especially in relation to legal representation in South Yorkshire.
I trained as a solicitor at Wilsons Solicitors where undertook I seats in immigration, public law and crime. I then managed the Right to Liberty Project at Bail for Immigration Detainees. During my time there, I gave oral evidence before the Home Affairs Select Committee about the conditions at Morton Hall and Yarls' Wood Immigration Removal Centres. I also worked at ATLEU and Parker Rhodes Hickmotts.
Prior to my legal career, I worked for a number of NGOs in Cambodia with a focus on victims of labour exploitation.
