Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Family department at Duncan Lewis, specialising in all areas of family law. I have significant experience handling matters involving separation, dissolution of civil partnerships, pre and post nuptial agreements, divorce and finances, TOLATA applications, private law children and public law proceedings as well as harassment and non-molestation and occupation order proceedings.
I have considerable experience in dealing with private law children proceedings including Specific Issues Orders relating to parents who wish to relocate outside of the UK with their children. I also represent parents and grandparents including professional as well as vulnerable clients facing a number of barriers in their search for legal advice, such as unresolved immigration statuses and language barriers.
As well as working within private practice, I have also worked for a non-profit organisation and have close links to the local community. With language skills in Urdu, Mirpuri and Hindi my aim is to make legal advice more accessible and to break down the communication barriers in minority communities in accessing legal support and guidance using her cultural and legal experience.
I undertake my own advocacy and have represented clients throughout their proceedings. I adopt a holistic approach when advising clients.
