Profile / Experience
I am a Consultant Solicitor in the Crime Department at Duncan Lewis. I have over 10 years of general criminal law experience, dealing with matters from the the client's initial arrest at the police station through to trial, and appeal.
Since joining Duncan Lewis in February 2015, I have worked on a number of criminal appeal cases and applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). The nature of these cases is varied and includes murder, robbery and drug related crimes. Whilst concentrating on appeal work and applications to the CCRC, I have also continued with general crime work and recently represented a client extradited from the Netherlands and tried at The Central Criminal Court in respect of a £11 million drug importation, the client was ultimately found not guilty.
My work often requires the advice of Counsel, and I have had the opportunity to work with Michael Mansfield QC, Tim Owen QC, Rebecca Trowler QC, John Cooper QC, Paul Taylor, and Christopher Harding on some of the high profile cases I am instructed upon.
The clients I assist are often vulnerable youths or those that have previous experience of the justice system. My aim is to provide the best representation and advice and achieve the best possible outcome for my clients regardless of whether I am dealing with a minor or a more serious offence which may lead to imprisonment.
