Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker within the Immigration and Public Law departments based in Swansea. I assist director Vinita Templeton on a range of immigration and asylum matters, including refugee family reunions and asylum applications.
Whilst studying law at university I developed a particular interest in immigration law, receiving the award for Best Student in British Immigration and Asylum Law 2018-19, and completing a final year research project into the treatment of asylum seekers on s.95 support and how this relates to claimants under the mainstream British welfare state.
Alongside studying I volunteered with the Human Rights Law Clinic, researching international torture prevention, and with the University of Bristol Law Clinic where I provided legal advice and assistance to members of the community who could not afford representation. I also participated in outreach work with Bristol Drugs Project, running a drop-in service for anyone attending BDP to access legal advice.
