Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Housing Department at Duncan Lewis. I am based in the firm's Dalston office and I assist clients throughout the London area.
I act for both publicly and privately funded clients in a wide range of housing law issues including homelessness, disrepair and possession matters. I specialise in handling housing matters that include suitability reviews, judicial reviews and homelessness applications.
I have over 3 years experience of advising and assisting publicly funded clients remotely (non face to face) across the UK with their housing matters through the Legal Aid Agency Civil Legal Advice. Work handled included Section 21 possession proceedures, harassment, homelessness, disrepair and unlawful eviction. Not only did working on the CLA helpline enhance my ability to listen and communicate effectively to clients, it also ensured that I am able to extract the relevant instructions from callers in order to provide them with the best possible advice.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I gained 10 years’ experience of providing face-to-face advice within the charitable sector including Citizens Advice Bureau, Community Links and Independent Age.
