I am a Director in the Family and Childcare department at Duncan Lewis, having joined the firm in October 2012. I supervise a team of dedicated solicitors, trainees and caseworkers all with considerable expertise in Family and Childcare law. I am a Director of both the Luton and Barnet offices of the firm and I represent clients throughout Greater London and the South East.
I have considerable experience in advocacy at the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court. I represent parents, family members and children in public law proceedings (including Emergency Protection Orders, Care Orders, Supervision Orders and Secure Accommodation orders. Due to my extensive knowledge of the law in this area, I was appointed to the Law Society's Children Panel in April 2014 which allows me to represent children in highly complex matters, involving Local Authority Care and Supervision Proceedings.
I also represent clients in private law matters involving Child Arrangements, Special Guardianship and Parental Responsibility applications.
I assist both privately and publicly funded clients and I maintain a commitment to Pro Bono Work for the most vulnerable members of society, providing a legal surgery to victims of domestic violence and providing advice in obtaining Non Molestation and Occupation Orders.
I am a member of Resolution a Family Law Association for Solicitors who are committed to resolving family matters fairly and amicably. I am also a member of the Law Society's Children Panel which means I have demonstrated the required level of competency and specialist knowledge as defined by the Law Society in all areas of children law and the representation of children.
