I am a Solicitor and Supervisor in the Immigration/Public Law Department at Duncan Lewis. I have vast experience representing clients in all types of immigration, asylum, civil liberties and detention matters from providing initial legal advice at the Immigration Removal Centres across England particularly at the IRC Legal Surgeries to representing clients on their appeal matters before the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, of the Immigration Asylum Chamber (IAC). I am committed to the publicly funded work Duncan Lewis offers to those people in the community who are unable to afford legal representation.
I assist clients at the IAC Tribunals, the County Courts, the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal with challenges concerning issues such as unlawful detention, false imprisonment, removals to European countries under the Dublin Conventions, those detained clients facing removal from the UK who have been exercising EEA Treaty rights in the UK, removals on asylum and human rights grounds, challenges to policy/law relating to vulnerable clients including victims of torture, and various other challenges to decisions made by the Secretary of State for the Home Department.
I regularly deal with immigration, asylum, human rights, and bail applications particularly vulnerable clients detained in prisons or the immigration removal centres across England. I have successfully represented clients in a variety of asylum applications and appeals, including minors, survivors of domestic violence, those subject to deportation orders and those fearing persecution due to their sexuality. I also supervise a large team of consultant solicitors across England all dedicated to representing the most vulnerable in society.
