Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Public Law and Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis.
I have significant experience dealing with vulnerable clients, including those in detention, those suffering from complex psychological issues, and those who are victims of trafficking and torture. I regularly deal with immigration, asylum and human rights applications and assist the team in a wide variety of Judicial Review claimant challenges - particularly in relation to immigration, civil liberties and asylum. The broad spectrum of judicial review claims that I have assisted on include: challenging the refusal of trafficking claims, claims for unlawful detention, and challenges against removals from the UK in general and those to European countries under the Dublin Regulations. I also have experience in challenging decisions to refuse to accept further representations as a fresh asylum claim and challenging the unlawful denial of appeal rights.
I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and knowledge in Immigration and Asylum law as defined by the Society.
