Profile / Experience
I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Family Department at Duncan Lewis. I am based in the firm's Harrow office and work alongside a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of family director Adeeba Naseem.
I have successfully conducted my own advocacy in non-molestation injunctions and occupation orders, including acting for both applicants and respondents. I have also conducted my own advocacy in private law Children Act proceedings and attended clients at Child Protection Conferences and Public Law Outline Meetings. My caseload covers all aspects of family law, including divorce, public law chidren law, matrimonial finance and international child abduction cases.
Prior to this, I worked as Team Leader and Assistant Manager at the National Centre for Domestic Violence where I led a team of caseworkers and assisted victims of domestic abuse with their applications for injunctions. I completed my Bar Professional Training Course in 2011 and achieved a distinction in my Legal Practice Course in 2016. I have also represented clients at the Employment Tribunal through the Free Representation Unit and worked as a family paralegal.
I speak fluent Iranian Farsi.
