Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker within the Immigration Team at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I am based in the Leicester office and work with a group of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of Director Sangita Shah.
As a caseworker, my primary role is to assist the team with the daily case progression and client and third-party correspondence on a variety of immigration, asylum and human rights matters, this includes asylum appeals and judicial review challenges.
Before joining Duncan Lewis I worked for the Home Office for two years where I handled cases relating to immigration applications. Prior to which I worked within child law with Nottingham City Council.
Some highlights in my career so far include handling lead Court of Appeal cases and being an active member of a team managing support projects throughout the UK including asylum resettlement, the Grenfell Tower Fire and the Windrush scandal.
