Profile / Experience
I am a Solicitor in the Business Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis.
I specialise in advising and assisting on a range of immigration, nationality and European applications, with an emphasis in particular on in country and out of country immigration appeals against a decision to refuse, administrative review and human rights appeals in courts up to the Court of Appeal.
I have extensive expertise in carrying out judicial review claims in the Upper Tribunal and the High Court where I regularly represent clients in relation to unlawful detention, interim relief against removals, UK Visa & Immigration refusals and various other policy challenges to the Secretary of State for the Home Department.
My corporate immigration expertise includes advising prospective and current Tier 2 sponsors on compliance with sponsor obligations, right-to-work checks and also on the recruitment of individuals and the procedures involved.
I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and specialist knowledge in Immigration and Asylum law as defined by the Law Society and enables me to advise and assist both private paying and publicly funded clients.
For those who struggle with English, I speak Gujarati with native proficiency and Hindi with a limited professional proficiency.
