Profile / Experience
I am Caseworker in the Child Care and Family department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, having joined in November 2021. I am based in the City of London office and work within a team of solicitor, trainees and caseworkers under the supervision of Director Sophie Fretten.
My primarily role as a caseworker involves assisting in the day to day progression of matters in all areas of child care law. Cases I am currently dealing with involve issues concerning mental health, substance and alcohol misuse, neglect and domestic abuse.
I completed my Undergraduate in History and Ancient History at the University of Exeter, and went on to study the Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, Bloomsbury. During my studies, I undertook experience within a family law firm, where I assisted a team of solicitors in the preparation of case bundles and asset schedules. I also completed pro bono work with the African Prison Project: Justice Changemaker Journey, where I had the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and learn about the working of the English justice system. My experiences has enabled me to manage caseloads effectively, and assist empathetically with vulnerable individuals in highly stressful situations.
