Profile / Experience
I joined Duncan Lewis in November 2016 as a Trainee Solicitor in the Family department. Since joining Duncan Lewis, I have worked on a variety of Family matters.
I qualified as a solicitor in the Family Department in November 2018. Since qualification, I have continued to work on family law matters such as care proceedings, section 8 private law children matters, divorce proceedings and financial proceedings.
I have had a vast amount of experience acting for parents in care proceedings (public law proceedings) and also in child arrangement applications (private law proceedings).
Throughout my two years training contract, I was able to solely focus on family law matters and I have therefore gained a significant amount of experience prior to qualification. I have gained previous experience as a Family Law Paralegal in two law firms and therefore have a good understanding of the law. During my time as a Paralegal, I was exposed to areas such as divorce, ancillary relief, private children law matters and child care matters.
I have been the advocate for many hearings and continue to represent my client’s at hearings as frequently as possible.
I continue to assist people by advising them on a pro bono basis at Duncan Lewis pro bono sessions, and also with the Latin American Women’s Rights Surgery.
I have a passion for Family Law and aim to assist my clients with my practical and professional approach. I have been told that I am a good listener, and that my empathetic approach makes clients feel comfortable and well assured that their matter will be dealt with in the best way possible.
