I am a Consultant Solicitor with Duncan Lewis and a specialist in Immigration Law.
I am also qualified under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Level 2 Caseworker, which allows me to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm's Legal Aid Agency franchise. I also undertake extensive private work.
I have been advising and representing clients in immigration law since 2002 and my experience covers every aspect of immigration law e.g. European Union Law, General Immigration, Human Rights Law and Asylum. I also represent vulnerable clients who have been detained and I have been able to assist in their release from detention and in navigating the complex immigration process. I regularly represent clients at the First-tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal.
I have also initiated and assisted on a variety of Judicial Review matters, including challenges to decisions of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to unlawfully detain and remove claimants in cases being heard before the Upper Tribunal and the High Court.
"I was detained despite being a victim of torture. Olumide provided me with support throughout and encouraged me even when I felt I should end it all. He eventually managed to secure my release from detention and I am eternally grateful to him." - Candice, client (2017).
I am a keen football fan and enjoy supporting Arsenal Football Club. I am also a great cook.
