Profile / Experience
I am a specialist litigation solicitor practising across a diverse range of public law areas. Most of my cases involve litigation or disputes involving the state. I act for companies and individuals in connection with regulatory disputes, GDPR and data protection and tax matters. I act for individuals in disputes with the Office of the Public Guardian. These disputes involve the affairs of people who lack the capacity to manage their property and financial affairs. I also act on behalf of individuals who have been deprived of their liberty in their best interests and I frequently conduct health and welfare cases in the court of protection. These include highly complex multi-party cases.
I am qualified to practise law in England and Wales and in Israel. Prior to qualifying in England and Wales, I gained significant experience in criminal justice work, notably criminal defence (in particular miscarriages of justice) and prison law. I have done my training contract at the Israeli Public Defender's Office. I was the trainee of the Deputy Public Defender and assisted her as well as the Public Defender in public policy committees at the Israeli Ministry of Justice. My work there included working on criminal appeals at the Israeli Supreme Court, working on miscarriages of justice cases and being part of the Financial Enforcement Forum (working on white collar cases (including anti competition law) and taking part in policy development).
