Profile / Experience
I am a Public Law and Immigration Caseworker at Duncan Lewis. I work in the Lewisham office under the supervision of Howard Cheng. I work alongside a team of solicitors, trainees and caseworkers all specialising in immigration, asylum and human rights matters.
As a caseworker, the majority of my work involves assisting the solicitors with the day-to-day case progression as well as client or third-party correspondence on a wide range of public law and immigration related matters. These include asylum applications, fresh claims, trafficking applications and judicial reviews.
I work with many extremely vulnerable clients, some of whom are victims of torture or trafficking and are fleeing their homeland from persecution and/or war. I assist both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded clients.
I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which means that I have shown that I have specialist knowledge and experience in the area of Immigration law and can advise and assist publicly funded clients under the company's legal aid contract.
